“Ember” is the name of the Most High Tech Coffee Mug and it’s design is the result of 5 years of prototyping, developing, testing and refining. The key-feature is it’s temperature control system: It keeps your coffee on the same temperature the whole day. No cool/cold mug at the end of your day anymore. You are able to choose an individual temperature for your perfect coffee experience. The Ember mug will instantly cool your hot coffee or tea down to the temperature you chose.
The mug holds 12 fl. oz., which is 350 ml, weights 475 gram, is stainless steel, space-grade thermal insulation and uses a high-capacity battery. It has a height of 8 inches and a width of 2,75 inches, which is an average sized travel mug, so it fits perfect in your car holder. The lid is perfectly designed to feel like you’re drinking from a regular porcelain mug. It is easy to clean, due to Ember’s lid tech with an open design to allow an easy cleaning process. One additional innovation is the app control via blue tooth control, which makes the mug even more useful: Control the temperature by pressing a button on the app.
The mug is designed by the company founder and CEO Clayton Anderson, who is an experience thermal scientist with over 70 patents worldwide. He is the inventor of General Electric’s futuristic lightbulb. Ember was designed by Ammunition Group, the same team that designed the Beats by Dre headphones.
The Ember Mug is not available right now, because it’s still in a developing phase. But the founder stated that it will be released in July 2016. Before this date, it is possible to PRE-order the mug on the official website for a price of $ 149.00, which is kind of expensive for a coffee mug. But the price will be worth it, if you are tired of cold coffee.
